Accountant

OKM Trucking Inc. in Schaumburg, IL has an opening for a position of Accountant.

Job Duties:

• Direct internal financial processes, monitor costs, sales, spending and budgets, identify past trends, and predict future needs
• Analyze financial data and make forecasts, budgets, performance measurements and plans, and present reports to senior management to assist in its operational decision making
• Provide monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts to aid business planning
• Prepare cost-benefit analysis and work on cost-reduction projects
• Identify trends and opportunities for improvement, analyze and manage risks, arrange funding and financing of operations, and monitor and enforce compliance
• Control and forecast income and expenditure
• Create and maintain Company’s financial system and supervise bookkeeping functions

• Manage weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual payroll, sales, fuel and excise taxes
• Prepare and process weekly payroll for drivers and other personnel
• Meet with new staff members to complete W-4 or W-9 and I-9 Forms, explain benefits and deductions, assist with wage verification documents, etc.
• Inform the staff about proper individual tax filings
• Daily invoicing to brokers in a timely manner
• Process insurance carrier reports in an accurate and timely manner
• Manage annual truck licensing and ensure all trucks/trailers are properly tagged

Position Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or in a related field
• 2 years of experience in the job offered
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Google Workspace
• Must be fluent in Ukrainian
